Congratulations to Verdadero! He has been appointed as Trailboss (Chairperson) for our new Range Development Committee.
Now he needs committee members to help him.
The committee is not tasked with doing the actual work, just with doing the planning:
How many stages do we want? What will they look like? Where will the targets be placed? What kinds of targets do we want? What will each stage cost? What materials do we need to buy? How will we finance the building of the stages? ETC ...
If you want to be part of the committee, want to have input into this very important part of our club, then please contact Verdadero.
You can send him a private message through this forum, or reply to this thread.
WAAAA HOOO! Good things are happening at Gamble Gulch!

Hey Verdadero!
I'll step up and join your committee. I'm no expert in Cowboy Action Range Development, but I'm a good listener, and I'm willing to throw out ideas every now and then.
If you'll have me, I Volunteer!

Thanks...be glad to have your help. I'm hoping we can sit down with Brushy and Janet after the next match and set some basic parameters. I'm looking forward to getting the process started... Verdadero

Verdadero & Brushy,
Sounds like we need a work day scheduled. When will it happen?

Scheduling a work day is a great idea.....but have club funds been released. No point having a work day if materials are not available.

3 Reds, Write that check. Get the lemonade ready and you and I can serve it. I love to watch people work, don't you?

I was always under the assumption we had some money to work with. I guess the real question is what is the procedure we are going to use to access that money? Do we need to have a "bill of materials" before starting any project and meet at the lumberyard before starting? Are we going to pay for the materials and then get reimbursed? This is probably the simplest method, but if there is no one that can write a check for the materials, the member could be "carrying" a pretty heavy ticket for longer than they may want to.

That is a good question Verdadero. My guess is that if someone can get an itemized estimate then the officers can vote for the go ahead to make the purchase. At that time, I can mail or give a check to you (or someone else) so that they can purchase the materials
