3Reds forwarded this message to me, and I thought I would post it here.
If anyone can help these out of town visitors out, I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated:

I was able to find a pound of fffg they could use. The pirates were very greatful. They showed me their guns and swords and gave a short swashbuckle demonstration. No one was injured. They do pirate re-enactment for things like Buc Days and have done some TV and movie work. If you get over to Buc Days, you can watch a full blown fight, complete with sabers clanging, flintlock pistols shooting, and a 27" cannon booming its signal across the harbor. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh matey. WM

I recently bought a pound of GOEX 2ff and 3fff powder and some other supplies up at Don's Gun Shop in San Antonio: Don's Gun Shop at 3724 N.W. Loop 410--Loop 410 and Frederick's Road, San Antonio de Béxar, Texas 78229 (210) 736-0263 Ask to speak with Laurie. She was highly knowledgeable about all things muzzle-loading related. I felt like I got what I knew I needed, but also learned a whole heck of a lot. It was like having a black powder tutorial thrown in for free, frankly. Price was about 23 dollars per pound if I recollect correct. The German-made WANO/Schuetzen powder can be bought from Buffalo Arms up in Idaho. I think there is some kind of quantity discount. I also have heard that black powder is available from Bass Pro in San Antonio as well, but I cannot comment from direct experience.

Oops. That'd be "FredericksBURG" road. Not Frederick's. Not enough Cowboy coffee this morning. Or something.
