Cowboy Shooters,
In the next two months one has an opportunity to attend a nice assortment of cowboy matches. I am listing those I know of and a little info I know on each. I hope everyone, at some point in time, can make some matches other than just our club's so as to represent our club and to enjoy meeting and shooting with others as well.
Sept. 10th...TRP match at Gamble Gulch...6 stages...9am start Hopefully we will have as much fun as at the August shoot which was a good one.
Sept. 17th...Whoopin put on by Tejas Caballeros near Johnson City. This is a one day shoot which Verdadero has enjoyed in the past. Not sure but I believe it will have 6 to 8 stages. Website is www.tejascaballeros.org contact person is the President: Judge Menday Coming 512-964-9955
Sept. 29 to Oct 2....Defend Old Fort Parker put on by the Old Fort Parker Patriots and is between Groesbeck and Mejia, East of Waco. Thursday will be Long Range, Friday is 5 main match stages plus side matches, Sat will be the remaining 5 main match stages and awards banquet, and Sunday is Man on Man (not many did Sunday's events last year). Brushy, myself, and Dutch attended last year and other's have attended in the past. BIG Targets up REAL CLOSE. Fun match with good people. $110 website: www.oldfortparkerpatriots.com
Oct 8th....TRP match at Gamble Gulch
Oct 14-16...Battle of Plum Creek near Lockhart Texas website is www.pccss.org Cost is $80 (I think) Friday is a 6 stage Wild Bunch Match, Long Range Sight Confirmation, Western 3 Gun (3 stages), and Side Matches (derringer, pocket pistol, fastest rifle/pistol/shotgun, fastest 3 gun) Sat will be 6 stages of the Main Match and side matches including Long Range as well as Dinner with Awards Sunday is 4 stages of Match followed by Lunch with Awards
Hope you can make all the Gamble Gulch matches and hopefully some of these others as well!
