As the year comes to a close, I'd like to mention a few folks that I've had the pleasure of posse-ing with.
I can't find a thing bad to say about any of the cowboys and cow-ladies (or even the cow-pastors) that are in our club.
But I would especially like to thank Verdadero for the kindness, energy and hard work he has shown at every match this year. He arrives early, leaves late. He sets up, takes down, polices brass and RO's. Verdadero is always ready with a kind word, and has invited all who shoot to join him at the True Ranch/Range for practice and tips.
Dream Chaser is another one of those hard working soles who is always present with set-up and take down. She has shown kindness to 3Reds and I and helped the two of us figure out ways to shoot a tad faster, be a bit safer on the range.
Snoopy Doyle has not been able to make all of the meets, but when he is present, everyone knows about it. His energy and enthusiasm for CAS and for TRP are a blessing.
Stinkin' Badger and Minnesota Somebody were two of the first cowboys to help us feel welcome at the club when 3Reds and I first joined.
Brushy Creek and his wife are stepping up in a big way, offering their homestead to our club as a permanent range.
Mis Cheryl and Rankin Rottin are a couple that is always the first to offer their guns, leather, ammo, anything they have to new shooters.
Of course the whole TRP Board is deserving of mention: Brushy Creek Bill; Longstar; Dutch Diablo; 3Reds; and Col Mac. These are the folks who share the burden and responsibility of keeping the club running, managing our funds, and ensuring that everything that needs to be done gets done.
Thanks to all of you who help make the Texas Riviera Pistoleros a fun ... and safe ... organization to belong to.
